Fashion in 2026 is feeling like a fresh beginning, just when we might have started wondering if style was slowing down. After seasons of dressing mainly for comfort, this year the trends we’re spotting feel more expressive and fun again, without being hard to wear. At both street level and on major runways like Paris Fashion Week, we're getting a reminder that fashion is meant to be exciting and creative.
One of the most talked-about shifts this year is the return of bold colour and texture. Spring and summer collections embraced rich palettes like mint green, powder pink, deep reds and emerald tones in unexpected combinations that bring life back into everyday outfits. These vibrant colours
are an easy way to shake up basic pieces and make them look intentional.
Layering and exaggerated proportions are also everywhere. Long draped maxi dresses, oversized blazers and statement skirts add dimension and intrigue to outfits. Scarves have moved out of the accessory drawer and turned into tops or waist ties, bringing a playful edge that can be worn for a night out or casual dates with friends.

Runways also brought back craftsmanship and romantic shapes with crochet and fringe detailing, breezy balloon pants that feel cozy yet couture, and tunic dresses worn over trousers for a look that feels both modern and effortless.
Looking beyond the clothes themselves, fashion editors are inspiring us to rethink how we approach our wardrobes in 2026. Many of them are making resolutions like planning outfits ahead of time, wearing more of the shoes they already own, or refreshing their closets with more intentional pieces rather than just buying on impulse.
So far this year, fashion feels like a mix of bold energy and freedom. Whether you’re experimenting with vibrant hues, adding texture with layers and accessories, or just rediscovering clothes you already love, 2026 is sure to bring forth new pieces and collections once again.
