Green, a hue painted by nature's brush, said hi to the world long before the first human gaze graced the Earth. Ancient Egyptians employed pigments derived from the papyrus plant to dye fabrics in shades of green. Ancient Romans too produced green coloring by soaking copper items in wine, leading to a color pigmentation known as verdigris. Now you might be curious why I've chosen to focus this blog on the color green. The reason is quite intriguing — the upcoming leap year in 2024, with its extra day, serves as a symbolic opportunity for both personal and collective completion. Much like the color green, which embodies the entire cycle of growth and the fulfillment of nature's cycles. Perhaps it's a mere coincidence, but I can't shake the feeling that Amy Adams donning a sage green dress on the cover of "Leap Year" was entirely intentional. Is this a reach? Maybe. Will I still use it to prove my point of leap years and green having a special connection? Heck Yeah.
Green boasts as many shades as centipedes have legs, enhancing its adaptability to every season and the corresponding mood. Today, I'll guide you in discovering the ideal green hue to complement each season!
FALL
You will notice that most green shades that fit the mood of the fall are muted greens, as they fit the ambience of the changing leaves and find a perfect match with the cozy warmth of the fall. Muted greens are dulled and toned down to have a calming effect. You will find that sage green is perfect for a cozy fall outfit, its tranquil hue effortlessly captures the essence of the season, providing a soothing and stylish palette. I personally like mixing sage green with lavender, creating a harmonious and sophisticated look!

WINTER
Deeper shades of green undoubtedly stand out in winter fashion. Nevertheless, Emerald green has such vibrancy and warmth that it compels me to favor it over any other green shade during the winter season. Emerald green possesses a je ne sais quoi, an elusive quality that effortlessly captures the essence of winter sophistication. Its deep, jewel-like allure adds an undeniable touch of mystery and richness to winter fashion, creating an enigmatic charm that sets it apart. To me, an emerald necklace perfectly captures the spirit of winter with its timeless beauty.

SPRING
Green fashion in spring is a celebration of nature's renewal and the vibrant spirit of the season. Green hues dominate spring collections, mirroring the awakening landscape. Pistachio green is a delightful choice for spring fashion. Pistachio green brings a touch of serenity and natural beauty to spring fashion, embodying the essence of renewal and growth that defines this refreshing season. The combination of the earthy, faded tones of vintage denim and the soft, refreshing shade of pistachio green can create a harmonious and relaxed aesthetic.

SUMMER
Winter claimed the darker, bluish greens, spring embraced the yellowish bright greens, and fall adorned itself with the earthy tones, which leaves summer with a limited selection of exclusive greens to wearLime green is an invigorating choice for summer fashion, radiating energy and capturing the essence of sun-soaked days. This bright hue adds a playful and tropical touch to summer wardrobes, instantly conveying a sense of fun and vibrancy.

Certainly, just because a particular shade of green seems synonymous with a specific season doesn't restrict its wearability to that time alone. Ultimately, various factors, such as the occasion, attendees, and even skin tone, should guide your choice of the perfect green hue. As exemplified by Emma Stone's stunning appearance at the 2015 Academy Awards, where she effortlessly rocked a chartreuse green dress in the midst of winter, traditionally a more spring-like color. Her incredible look can be attributed not only to her undeniable charisma but also to the impeccable craftsmanship of the dress and its captivating color.
